Is there a dress code? What should I wear? This is not a black tie event, but there are chandeliers. We recommend dressing up a little bit (think somewhere between business casual and semi-formal), mostly because we think it's fun, but being comfortable and feeling good should be your priority. Whatever you wear, we're sure you'll look great!
Will there be dinner?Yes! When you RSVP you will be asked to select one of three main course options for our seated dinner. Please let us know in your RSVP if you have any allergies, sensitivities, or other food requirements that don't work with those options and we will do our very best to make sure you can share a meal with us.
Will there be alcohol at the event?Yes. After the ceremony there will be a cocktail hour and during the reception there will be an open bar. Please stay safe and plan ahead for a cab or rideshare if you plan to drink.
Will there be photos taken during the event? We are delighted to have a talented photographer with us all day. The only formally posed photography will be of the wedding party, but we may see you in candid shots. If you would prefer not to be photogaphed, please let us know and we are happy to help you avoid the cameras through creative seating.
During the reception, our kids will also be walking around with cameras, looking for great shots and capturing video of well-wishes. They will be asking for your permission during this time, so if you don't want to be photographed or videotaped, just let them know!
Can I take pictures?Absolutely! We just ask that you make sure that every person who is visible (even in the background) in the picture has given you their consent. If you're having trouble getting an angle without other people in it, we recommend checking out other rooms inside the University Club-they are all equally lovely, but some may be less crowded.
Do you have a wedding hashtag? No. We'd love for you to share any wedding pictures you take with us though-please feel free to text or email us copies!
Will there be dancing?Everything is a dance if you're brave enough. There will also be a DJ after dinner.
Where are you registered? We're not! While we love how thoughtful all of our friends and family are, we are asking that no one purchase any wedding gifts. Please see our Information page for more details about our gift policy and places you can send charitable donations to spread the love on our big day!
